The Medium-Rise Scheme (“MRS”) provides grants to the Applicant or their representatives to fund the remediation of dangerous cladding of external walls of medium rise buildings (11 metres plus) across England by extending previous remediation processes.

The MRS needs to ensure that FRAEWs submitted to the MRS are being produced according to PAS 9980:2022 and principles of proportionality. The MRS will undertake basic checks of FRAEWs received. However, there will be some FRAEWs which will need further scrutiny over and above these checks. As such, under this requirement, Audits of FRAEWs will also be commissioned. 

Keegans have been appointed as one of three suppliers on Lot 2 – FRAEW Audits to carry our audits on behalf of Homes England.
