Keegans were appointed to provide Project Management this project develop land of a former ITEC Centre into 10 one-bedroom self-contained apartments managed by Basildon Borough Council, with a further 6 one-bedroom pods known as ‘Solohaus’ units donated by the Hill Group providing Basildon’s rough sleepers with a fresh new start.
Keegans worked closely with ECD Architects, Basildon Borough Council and Morgan Sindall Property Services to project manage the conversion and the fitting of full kitchens, bathrooms and living accommodation. Residents also receive white goods, furniture, and other essential items for them to be able to live fully independently.
Peabody, The Salvation Army, and Basildon Council are now working together having created a joint management plan and referral process.
