About Bryan

Bryan has over 19 years of experience in the built environment, with a professional background that combines traditional building surveying expertise with a specialist focus on fire safety and compliance. He now works primarily in the delivery of fire risk assessments, fire safety compliance reviews, invasive compartmentation surveys, passive fire protection projects, fire strategy updates, works specifications, and associated remedial works and compliance strategies across a range of residential and mixed-use properties.

Bryan is also involved in supporting Building Safety Regulator (BSR) applications for higher-risk buildings, including submissions at Gateway 2 and Gateway 3 stages. This includes contributing fire safety and compliance input to support building control approval, reviewing design information against relevant fire safety legislation and guidance, and assisting clients and design teams in demonstrating that proposed works satisfy the functional requirements of the Building Regulations and associated dutyholder obligations.

He has extensive experience in the practical application of fire safety legislation, standards and guidance, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, and supports clients in understanding their statutory responsibilities and implementing proportionate fire safety solutions.

Bryan is a BAFE SP205 Fire Risk Assessment Validator and holds professional memberships as a Member of the Institute of Fire Safety Management (MIFSM) and a Technician Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (TIFireE).

Alongside his specialist fire safety role, Bryan retains a broad grounding in building surveying and project delivery. His experience includes contract administration, contractor management, procurement, condition surveys, party wall matters, dilapidations, maintenance planning, budget costings and access audits. Within the residential sector, he has also worked extensively in housing disrepair.

Bryan is also an Elmhurst qualified Retrofit Assessor, registered with TrustMark, and an accredited domestic energy and Green Deal Assessor.

Outside of work, Bryan enjoys playing golf, cooking and is a keen car enthusiast. The annual trip to the Goodwood Festival of Speed remains a particular highlight.
