About Andy

Andy is a very passionate and highly experienced fire safety and external wall specialist with extensive expertise in Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (FRAEW) and EWS1 assessments. Andy heads up Keegans FRAEW division of our Fire Safety Team. He has successfully delivered complex projects from initial assessment through to final sign-off, combining strong technical knowledge with a practical, safety-first approach.

 

Known for producing robust, evidence-based FRAEW reports, Andy takes a holistic view of each building to ensure risks are properly understood, clearly communicated and supported by defensible professional judgement.

 

As a RICS Registered Expert Witness, Andy brings additional rigour to his work, with a strong understanding of compliance, dispute risk and the scrutiny that can accompany fire safety decisions. This experience enables him to provide clear, considered advice to clients, particularly on complex or technically challenging projects.

 

At Keegans, Andy brings this combination of technical expertise, commercial understanding and commitment to professional integrity to support the continued development of our fire safety offering and deliver high-quality, dependable advice for our clients.

 

Andy is also passionate about supporting professional development within the industry. He volunteers with RICS as an EWS training assessor and moderator, helping to maintain and enhance the standards of EWS training across the profession.

 

Outside of work, Andy enjoys spending time with his corgi and exploring new destinations around the world with family. His travels have taken him to some fascinating places, including the Amazon rainforest in Peru, Japan, and Mexico, where he enjoyed experiencing different cultures, broadening his perspective and learning something new with every journey.
