Quarterly Staff CPD Seminar - Knowledge Café March 2024

On Wednesday 13th March, Keegans came together with ECD Architects Ltd, our sister company, for our quarterly staff CPD seminar - Knowledge Café. It was an afternoon filled with enriching discussions and valuable insights into various industry topics.

 
Here’s a snapshot of what we covered:

• Building Safety Act: Exploring the New Principal Designer Role and our proactive preparations for compliance.
• U-Values: Diving deep into the technical aspects to ensure our projects are at the forefront of thermal efficiency.
• Building Safety Cases: Understanding their significance and how we are delivering BSC’s for clients.
• Social Housing Stigma: Breaking down barriers and perceptions to ensure all residents are at the heart of projects.
• Upcoming Courses: Updates on the eagerly anticipated Retrofit Designer course we are helping to develop. 
• Project Showcase: Retrofit advances on our Wilmcote House project, five years on.
   

Afterwards, we went to Plonk Crazy Golf in Borough Market, where the team enjoyed food, drinks, and rounds of mini golf and arcade games. Thank you to our team members for participating, contributing, and making this afternoon a success.
