Ivydale Primary School

The new Inverton building for Ivydale School doubles the school’s existing capacity to accommodate KS2 children in a 4FE primary school. It was one of 11 primary schools we delivered cost consultancy services for Southwark Council’s Primary School expansion programme.

We provided a comprehensive cost consultancy service from RIBA Stage A through to L. The service was primarily focused on maximising Client value for money during the design stages and retaining budget objectives after contractor appointment. The client was focused on delivering high quality schools, well regarded by the community, which provided excellent teaching outcomes.

The new building is located on a site nearby the existing Victorian school building and it was important that both buildings knitted together seamlessly.

The project has been delivered on a modest budget, with the focus on creating inspiring, flexible spaces which perform well. Internally, the layout is a square arrangement, fully accessible throughout.
