Energy Performance Certification

Since January 2009 it has been a legal requirement for an Energy Performance Certificate to be produced for each property when constructed or offered for sale or let, and all public buildings in Scotland currently over 250 Sq.M. EPCs are also required where modifications result in changes to the heating/cooling and ventilation systems of a property.

Keegans are proud to be at the forefront of delivering Energy Performance Certificates, for domestic and non-domestic buildings, to a broad range of clients in both the public and private sectors.

Energy Performance Certificates

EPCs are designed to facilitate the analysis and performance of a building in terms of energy usage and carbon dioxide emissions and to offer advice on possible improvements. Similar in nature to the energy certificates on domestic white goods, these measures allow identification of buildings which are, and more importantly are not, performing well in terms of energy usage.

We are leading the way in the provision of this service in the UK, producing large volumes of EPCs for a variety of high profile clients. The experience gained by our staff means we are well placed to provide the highest standards of service. We employ an accredited team of Energy Surveyors and Assessors who hold all of the necessary qualifications to enable them to produce EPCs.
