Keegans (formerly Dearle & Henderson Consultancy), are currently carrying out the following services under a 4 year Framework Agreement;
1. Feasibility studies for the conversion of Office accommodation to additional bedrooms (sheltered and supported accommodation types) (Architecture & Building Surveying)
2. Surveys of existing buildings for ACMs (Asbestos containing materials) along with the arrangements for their removal (Building Surveying)
3. Refurbishment of existing Office accommodation within residential complexes (Architecture & Building Surveying)
4. Formation of new sheltered units within residential complexes (Architecture & Building Surveying)
5. a) Fire Safety Risk Assessment surveys and reports for their entire estate in Scotland (amounting to some 185 properties) to assess the implications of the latest Health & Safety legislation on these properties (Architecture and Building Surveying)
b) The formulation of an action plan and priority matrix to selectively target those properties which require to be upgraded (Architecture)
c) Arranging work packages with the local term contractors and carrying out the works on site (Commencing January 2009) (Architecture and Building Surveying)
6. a) Feasibility Study for the replacement of a Care Home at Bloom Court Livingston with the preferred scheme being demolition and rebuilding (Architecture and Quantity Surveying)
b) Full Architectural, Quantity Surveying and CDM services for 6 new amenity and mainstream terraced houses in environmentally - friendly and sustainable construction - currently out to tender site start in February 2009 (Architecture, CDM and Quantity Surveying)
7. Advising on issues of Asbestos Management/Fire Safety Works/Water Hygiene in the estate - one pilot study being undertaken to establish modus operandi (currently on-site with term contractor) (Architecture, CDM Co-ordination and Quantity Surveying)
In addition we are currently involved with HSHA in a number of other small projects which are for individual owner-occupiers, whose maintenance work is carried out, on their behalf, by Hanover. This work includes those types listed in 1, 2 & 3 above.
